For the etching assignment, I decided to do a dragonfly because in my family, it symbolizes my great grandmother who passed away years ago. I used cross hatching to show the different lines on the wings of the dragonfly. If I had more time, I would try to make more lines to give it more detail. But, I did try to use the lines to build up value. When using water color to paint it, I decided to use cool colors because the subject matter is nature. Overall, I like the colors and textures I have created on the dragonfly.
